I have had many rice cookers, and this is the best. Easy controls and cleans in a breeze. I would stay away from digital rice cookers and get this one which is simple to use with one press of a button rice cooker. I have used this cooker multiple times to make rice with my traditional Korean meals. It’s the best!

This makes great rice, and is compact, well made, reliable. As a reminder/note (I would say this applies to all rice cookers), it will take longer to make the rice than cooking it the old way, the difference is you can go about your business doing other things, because you start it, then later it's done, no need to hang out nearby to stir, tend to the pot, etc.

This rice cooker has never failed me. I've had one for several years and had occasion to get another for a new location. I stayed with this brand.

We adore our little rice cooker. There are 3 keys to making successful brown rice and oatmeal. #1: Add more water than stove-top cooking. #2: Stir in a bit of olive oil to the mix beforehand, and #3. When the rice cooker shuts off with a click, IMMEDIATELY remove the insert pan and stir. You can cover it again and it will stay hot for a while. I'd guess I use no more than 1/4 tsp of olive oil, which we can't taste at all. We use regular measuring cups, not the cup that came with the cooker. BROWN RICE (2 servings): 3/4 cup pre-rinsed brown rice, and 2 cups water. About 42-48 minutes. OATMEAL (1 large or 2 small servings): 2/3 cup oatmeal and 1-1/2 cups water, about 14-16 minutes. (We use Old Fashioned oats.) Measure how long yours takes so you know when to get back in the kitchen! Just push the ON button down to turn it on. We bring it forward so it's not underneath the cabinet as it does steam just a little. When done, the cooker shuts off with a click. That's all. So you need to stay in the kitchen near the end. One time I ignored it for 5 minutes and the bottom 1/6"-1/8" of brown rice got crunchy. I minced it with the plastic spoon and stirred it in and it was OK, but I prefer not. The cooker comes with the inner pot, a measuring cup, a plastic spoon, instruction booklet, and recipe booklet. The recipe booklet probably assumes you're using their measuring cup, but all of the recipes reference a "warm" mode which this economy cooker doesn't have ... We only use the plastic spoon to make sure we don't scrape the pan's non-stick coating. Washing is a breeze if you fill the inner pot with soapy water after emptying it. I noticed a couple drops of water in the glass lid after washing, but I shook it around and looked the next morning and it was gone, but I wouldn't immerse the glass lid because of this. We use the cooker 4-6 times a week, so hope it lasts a while. But so far, so good!

This rice cooker is small...about the size of a mini crock pot. It is exactly what I have been looking for. It makes just enough rice for two large entrée size bowls. Rice is perfect every time. I have had no problem with the rice cooker boiling over but I took a tip from another reviewer and make sure I rinse the rice well. I also use the measuring cup provided for both the rice and the water. So far, so good.

This cooker makes perfect white rice and is easy to use and clean. It makes brown rice perfectly too if you double the water ie. add 2 cups of water per cup of brown rice. If one adds a couple of drops of olive oil there is little risk of rice sticking to pot. Great product I recommend it.

Perfect size and cooks the rice very well, doesn't burn the rice like some rice cookers do. I purchased 2 already . 1 for my home and 1 for my son.

I hope this will be a durable investment. Looks good and is about as simple to use as can be. We got it for our college student who so far has only taken a mild interest in cooking food. He may be afraid of burning something on the stove so the oven, microwave and slow cooker have been his preferred methods of preparing food. Now the rice cooker seems to have been added to the "approved" list. This is bound to get plenty of use as his roommate apparently eats a lot of rice and chicken. This is also the perfect size for a 1-2 person household: get enough but won't have to deal with leftovers for days on end. Pot is easy to clean.

Had a previous Panasonic rice cooker that was almost the same for 18 years that got used 2-3 times a week. The pan was starting to get very brittle so decided it was time to replace. Was happy to find another Panasonic for replacement. Have used the new one a dozen times and has worked perfect. The other major reason for buying this one is that it does NOT have the small hole in the lid, which keeps it from making a mess with water and bubbles coming out the lid.

I spent days trying to pick out a rice cooker. I read all reviews and finally settled on the Panasonic 3 Cup Rice Cooker. And I have to say - I love this little cooker. Brown rice and white come out perfectly every time. The clean up is easy and fast. The cooker makes just enough for myself or for two people. My only complaint is that I waited so long to purchase one!
